Hambruna en Gaza provocada por Israel
Más de 2.000 personas han muerto baleadas en los puntos de distribución de comida, a parte de las 270 muertes por inanición, entre las cuales se cuentan 112 niños, por las que los altos cargos de la organización acusan a Israel de usar los alimentos como arma de guerra.
El principal organismo internacional de seguridad alimentaria, respaldado por la ONU, ha declarado la hambruna en Ciudad de Gaza, la primera declarada en Oriente Medio, y advierte que se puede extender al resto de la franja en los próximos meses.

«Tras 22 meses de conflicto incesante, más de medio millón de personas en la Franja de Gaza se enfrentan a condiciones catastróficas caracterizadas por la inanición generalizada, la indigencia y muertes evitables», ha señalado la ONU. El nuevo análisis de la Clasificación Integrada de la Seguridad Alimentaria en Fases (CIF) publicado este viernes eleva la clasificación de la gobernación de Gaza a la Fase 5, el nivel más alto, caracterizado por estas tres condiciones de hambruna, indigencia y muerte.
