We are excited to welcome you into our community and event hosted by the Ethiopian Ministry of Health in collaboration with the International Institute for Primary Health Care – Ethiopia (IPHC-E) and Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health. This is our first in person gathering of Primary Health Care (PHC) leaders, decision makers, and thinkers in sub-saharan Africa. Virtual registration is free and is available to view the live streamed sessions.
The International Conference on Primary Health Care (ICPHC 2023) will take place 5-7 September 2023 at the Skylight Hotel, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This gathering presents a unique opportunity to exchange best practices and innovative ideas with one another in order to push the needle forward in PHC.
The overall goal of the conference is to facilitate attainment of Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and the health-related SDG’s by strengthening the PHC movement globally. We aim to achieve this by fulfilling the following objectives:
- Transform the PHC movement and strengthen intersectoral collaborations by providing a forum for attendees from a wide variety of sectors to share knowledge and best practices in PHC
- Promote and enhance PHC champions to amplify their impact
- Build on the lessons learned from the COVID 19 response to strengthen the resilience of PHC systems
- Create an agenda to strengthen and build PHC around the globe
