The work of aid workers has been essential in improving the situation of children in the most disadvantaged countries. One of the many “small contributions” that have made this progress possible is, for example, the“Alegria amb Gambo” association, a group created by professionals from Granollers Hospital following their experience in Ethiopia, where more than half of children under the age of 5 suffer from severe or moderate malnutrition.
As Iñaki Alegría, a member of the Association, explains, the aim of this project is to facilitate the sponsorship of the admission and treatment of children suffering from severe malnutrition in Ethiopia through the concept of “Teaming” or micro-donations of 1 euro per month.
